Young volunteers are at the heart of Youth Out Loud!
Volunteers support YOL! in many different ways. Young volunteers have a role in speaking up for other young people, telling professionals what young people think about health & care services and advising what young people need.
The views, experiences and efforts of YOL! volunteers have the power of influencing those who run services to make changes and improvements.

Important info....

What will I do as a volunteer?

You will be involved in amazing projects, have a chance to speak up and be heard by decision makers.

You may promote surveys to your school, help improve YOL! social media, have a role in making videos and podcasts. You may also review services and make recommendations for improvement.
What skills will I gain as a volunteer?

Film & podcast making, campaigning and graphic design skills are only few of those you can learn.

Volunteering with YOL! is perfect to improve chances of accessing jobs in the medical, social care, research, communication, public and third sector. Gain hours for your Duke of Edinburgh Award and of course, make new friends!

When does YOL! meet?

Once you have signed up we will let you know when the meetings will be. We currently meet once a month, usually the first Tuesday evening in the month 5pm - 6.00pm

Where does YOL! meet?

We currently meet virtually via Zoom. However, for specific project work, for example the Digital Youth Project or our 15 Steps work, we may meet face to face at health or social care venues within Kingston upon Thames.
