During February 2021 we celebrated LGBTQ History Month. In this episode Stephen (Healthwatch Kingston's Chief Officer) and Lydia (Chair of the Kingston & Richmond's Youth Council) compare their experiences of being part of the LGBTQ community from the 70s' through to today, with advice for young people today.


If you are part of the LGBTQ community, you are questioning your sexuality and/or gender you can find support or join a group of like-minded young people on this page. YOL! member Josie O’Connell interviews Rachel, a clinical psychologist from CAHMS and Abi also a member of YOL! about their experiences with mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. What has the impact of this been on young people and how can we support each other with this? This podcast was a joint collaboration with the Kingston & Richmond Youth Council. It's a brilliant listen and would benefit any young person struggling with their mental health - you are not alone! There's some really honest, heartfelt talking and very helpful advice across both parts of the podcast.
